Body parts,,,,((faces))

I took these photos after being inspired by Arnulf Rainer and Bruce Nauman. I then worked over them in my sketchbook in the style of Arnulf Rainer.

 

Some more photos I took at a party.....bad quality for that reason.

 

I then manipulated my photos to create new images, I added differant coloured papers and cut out shapes to help abstract the images.

 

 

Alongside this I started experimenting with using card and collage materials to create a whole body. We worked in a group and each made a section of the 4 bodies. I made the heads.

 

Then we created 2 whole bodies by ourselves. I drew the outline shapes of my manipulated photographs.

 

 

I then added 4 of the faces together to create a body.

 

 

  

I then drew around my favourite shape.

 

I then cut out this shape onto card and created a collagraph.

 

I then worked over the shapes I cut out so they worked well as stand alone pieces. I also added facial features cut out from the photographs they were originally drawn from.

 

I photocopied these and reduced them to A5 size so that I could use them in drawings and composition ideas in my sketchbook.
